Wildcats Release Spring Slate

TUCSON, AZ  -- The University of Arizona men's lacrosse team will undertake a highly competitive 12-game schedule in 2023. Nine of twelve teams on the schedule ended the 2022 season ranked in the top 25 of the MCLA New Balance National Coaches Poll.

The Southwestern Lacrosse Conference (SLC) remains one of the most competitive conferences in the MCLA. The results of each game will have an enormous impact on the Wildcat's goal of qualifying for the SLC Championship Tournament once again in 2023. The conference games begin quickly, as Arizona will face three SLC foes in UCLA, San Diego State and USC during only the first three weeks of the season.

Arizona's non-conference schedule is also challenging. A big neutral site test awaits early at the PAC-12 Shootout where the Wildcats will face-off against perennial MCLA power CAL Berkeley. After the trip to SoCal the 'CATS return to Tucson for a five game home stand before heading deep into conference play.

"We are looking forward to the slate of games we have in front of us," said Arizona coach Matt Blamey. "Playing in the SLC, we know that we are always going to have to fight hard for a ticket to the postseason. From top to bottom, I think 2023 is the most competitive I've seen the SLC in my tenure; at least on paper. It's going to be a fun ride. Our men are excited for the challenge."

Arizona will open the season on Saturday, February 11th with a neutral site game in El Paso against Texas Tech University. All Wildcat home contests will be broadcast live. Be sure to check Arizona's Instagram or Twitter accounts for links to the live games.
